TEMPLES
For most Balinese, temple (pura or pure) is a sacred place where Hindu's rituals are held every day, every weeks, and months. There are parts of the temple that can be visit by public visitor, whereas some parts are only designated priests who can enter. Some temples require strict rules such as no shorts (must be cover by sacred linen provided by temple' organizer), must drink "holy water", or placing rice on visitor forehead. For female who is having menstrual period, No entry allowed. These rules is highly recommend to be followed. more
